More Evidence on the Decline of America

When I was a kid, I started reading the newspaper when I was about ten years old. My parent had divorced, and my grandparents let us live in their old home in Northumberland, Pennsylvania (they had just moved). My grandfather subscribed to the Philadelphia Inquirer, and didn't stop the subscription. I was the only one who read it in the house.

My own son is now nine years old, and it's stories like this one that make me glad that he's expressed no interest in reading our major local newspaper.
