John Marshall Article in Washington Times

Yesterday was the 250th anniversary of the birth of the Great Chief Justice, John Marshall, and two of my favorite college professors had a nice tribute piece in the Washington Times.

Managed to beat George F. Will by a day, too.

Worth a read. David Marion taught the best course on Constitutional Law that I ever took. Including law school.

Thank you, Jim.

Excellent articles, both. It has always been a source of family frustration that Marshall never seems to get his due when we speak of the most important founders and framers of this great nation.

The book that Will mentions (by Jean Edward Smith) is a good read. I recommend it highly.
