Another Asinine Bumper Sticker

Drove on the Beltway this morning, and saw another far Left bumper sticker which explains the continuing distaste that Americans have for the far Left: Republicans for Voldemort.

For those without small children or who've been comatose for the last decade, Voldemort (as I understand it) is the chief antagonist of J.K Rowling's Harry Potter, and represents unremitting evil. Ya gotta love the far Left! It's not enough to disagree with the policies of your opponents; you have to smear them as evil, though there are very few --- if any --- actually evil agendas which get any press in the American media. Except maybe for that of the North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA).

'Course, didn't get as much of a laugh out of that as when I saw two bumper stickers juxtaposed on a vehicle traveling on Dale Boulevard in Prince William County, circa 1994 (during the Ollie North race for Senate). The first said "Virginia is for Lovers, Not Liars."

Just beneath it? A Commie-Bore ... er, "Clinton-Gore" sticker.

The sad thing? I doubt that the owner of the vehicle was even aware of the ironies. More's to pity.

I could see Republicans supporting Voldamort, well Marshall and Frederick. McQuigg, and Parrish are okay.

Hey, Jim. English class was a long time ago, but wouldn't Voldamort be the antagonist rather than the protaganist? Keep up the good work!

OK, Rick. You're correct. Correction made. Mea culpa.

Americans For Truth Calls for ‘Decade of Silence’ for Pro-Homosexual School Activists

LaBarbera, Heath: “One day a year is not enough; parents demand more ‘gay’ ‘silence’ in schools for the sake of their children”

NAPERVILLE, Ill., April 1, 2005--Americans For Truth President Peter LaBarbera said today that the upcoming pro-homosexual “Day of Silence” in America’s schools (April 13) simply does not go far enough--and called for extending the idea to a “Decade of Silence” for pro-“gay” advocates in our nation’s places of learning.

“Parents are sick and tired of pro-‘gay’ liberals using the trusted school environment to promote homosexuality and gender confusion as normal to impressionable children,” LaBarbera said. “We know we speak for the majority of American moms and dads in calling on pro-homosexual activists to extend indefinitely their voluntary ‘silence’ in our schools.”

The “Day of Silence” (DOS) is a national pro-homosexual propaganda exercise organized by the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN), in which students take a one-day vow of silence to protest the alleged ‘silencing’ of homosexuals worldwide. A list of middle and high schools participating in DOS is available at http://www.dayofsilence.org/about/participants.php.

“Whether it’s a lesbian teacher ‘coming out’ to her first-grade students, or a homosexual instructor telling his class that it makes no difference if children have ‘two daddies’ or a mom and a dad, the answer is the same: we need more silence from the radical homosexual education lobby,” LaBarbera said. “Most parents simply have no clue as to how much pro-‘gay’ propaganda has found its way into our schools--to the point where GLSEN is now targeting elementary school kids and promoting the bizarre notion of ‘transgender youth.’”

RE Anon 1:49 --- I appreciate your attention, but would strongly appreciate it if you would: (a) address the relevant topic; (b) not post anonymously; and (c) not waste the readers' time with a lengthy post merely quoting what someone else said. If you want to bring it to my attention in a signed, private e-mail, by all means: feel free. But a lengthy post like this clutters the site and persuades nearly no one, even if Brother Peter is dead on point.
